Our Services

Harry’s Yoga Studio is an authentic yoga studio in the Maitland area and we are dedicated to providing the best and safest yoga and meditation classes in the area. We are not just focused on the physical aspect of yoga, but also helping people achieve deep peace and happiness through the practice of yoga, meditation and sound healing. The beauty of yoga is that you can start it at any age or stage in your life and it will make a difference to the quality of your life, however finding experienced teachers can be hard. Many yoga teachers these days have minimal training and experience, yet make out to be Guru's. Our teachers are very experienced and passionate about sharing yoga with you. We offer a range of yoga classes that cater for people from all levels and ages. We offer online yoga, casual, drop-in yoga classes with many styles of yoga like Japanese meridian yoga, Yin yoga, Vinyassa flow yoga, beginner and all levels classes. We also offer dedicated 5 week beginner yoga and meditation courses for new or returning students. We are also the only studio in the Hunter Valley to offer authentic Kundalini yoga courses with an experienced teacher. We also offer Sound healing and lifestyle workshops, Zen Shiatsu, private classes, corporate programs and health programs to assist you in becoming and maintaining fantastic health. Casual/Drop-in Classes

If you are interested in doing yoga then Harry's Yoga Studio in Maitland has a variety of Casual/drop-in classes to suit all ages and stages. We offer beginner classes, Vinyassa flow classes, Yin yoga classes and General all levels classes. If you are a returning student, beginner or just want to start straight away, then you can come to any of the classes listed on our timetable below. You can just turn up to these classes without booking and mats are supplied. (Courses are not included)

5 week Beginner Yoga Courses

If you are interested in starting Yoga in Maitland or a returning student and feel a bit daunted to start in a regular class, then doing a beginner yoga course is the safest and easiest way to learn the basic postures, breathing techniques and relaxation before entering one of our casual classes. Our courses run for 5 weeks and are run by experienced yoga teachers. To find more information about our beginner courses and to book, press on the button below. New Courses for 2020 are available now. NOTE: You can still come to casual classes if you havn't done one of these courses.

If you are interested in learning about Kundalini Yoga in Maitland, then doing a 5 week Introduction Course is the best way to start. Kundalini Yoga is a unique form of yoga which incorporates movement, dynamic breathing techniques, meditation, and the chanting of mantras. Zen Meridian Yoga

The style of yoga we teach in Maitland is based on the seasons and draws from Japan, India and yin yoga. Our bodies are constantly changing throughout the year and so should our yoga practice. We use different postures for each season to help our body and organs achieve optimum health. Japanese yoga uses specific movements and stretches to target the bodies meridian health and optimize organ health. Indian yoga uses postures, long Yin stretches, breathing, meditation and relaxation to keep our bodies strong and flexible and our mind relaxed and calm.

Workshops

We provide a range of workshops from 2 hour Yin yoga and sound healings to 1 day yoga and cooking workshops. All are designed to increase your knowledge of health and well being so you can apply it to your life. Follow link for more info about whats coming up for 2020.

I have done yoga forever- well about last 35 years- and have been to many 'teachers' , so am able to evaluate what is good or not from my perspective. I have been reaping the benefits of Harry's yoga for about the last 2 years and in my opinion is simply the best! Love the variation in classes , the wholistic approach -Harry always delivers classes with poses explaining the benefits to mind and body and adapting movements to the seasons addressing the changing needs of our bodies throughout the seasonal year. The big bonus is after an amazing workout we get to enjoy mind bliss with Harry taking things a step further with sound healing of didgeridoo, singing bowls, chimes - always something wonderful and different to relax to as part of the class. The new beautiful healing space in Maitland created by Harry & Lucinda is a credit to them and a special place for their yoginis to escape the everyday and keep fit. Highly recommended!!��

5 days ago- I had always wanted to do yoga, but never quite got around to it. Got a kick in the bum when I had to have back surgery at age 37. After recovering I thought, I’m finally going to do this thing. Started with the 5 week beginners course which was such a great intro, really made me feel knowledgeable and comfortable. Have been going as often as possible since then and I love it. I do yin and also flow and love them both. The instructors are really great and always make sure you are safe and using good form. I really couldn’t be happier to have finally started my yoga journey and these guys have made it that much easier and more fun!

Thank you Harry so much for introducing me to yoga. You have really taught me how to bring a little quiet to my busy world. As nurses we are privileged to get to know people so intimately, however this is sometimes very hard to leave at work and my head was always full of constant chatter.Yoga has taught me to leave it all at the door.
